Planetary Spirits - Astrology Cocktails - Venus' Business

Butterfly Pea Flower, lime, honey & gin! Take away the butterfly pea flower and you have The Business, created by the legend Sasha Petroski amongst many things the owner of Milk & Honey NYC.
I feel this needs to be said so credit is given where credit is due. The template for this cocktail, although not originally purple, is not mine to claim.
My musings wander. Lets get down to business…haha no pun intended…why did we in Planetary Spirits use this drink to represent Venus in Pisces. Well first, it is so easy to make with only 3 ingredients + garnish so 4.
Honey and Bees are ruled by Venus, bees pollinate the botanicals that blossom and grow to later become infused in the gin.
Zacchary Powell described Venus in Pisces it is like when a honey bee is so saturated with pollen that it falls asleep in total glee in the flower. That picture is just wonderful as well as gives a bit more layer to what Venus in Pisces means.

The dark blue butterfly pea flower when steeped in water or in this case gin infuses a rich blue and lightly floral component to the liquid. The Empress 1908 Gin has the beautiful botanicals that when using wildflower honey brings up images of a meadow covered in wildflowers while there is a steady hum from happy bees.
When the acid from lime is added to Butterfly Pea Flower it changes the rich blue to a regal, gorgeous purple. If you wish to balance it back to blue add baking soda to rebalance its PH.
This changeability of fluid visual richness moves us back to think how Venus is when in the Zodiac sign of Pisces. She flows, elegant in her movements and transitions. I am using a lot of flowery words but do not think beautiful and regal and elegant is docile and passive. A wolf, jaguar, leapord and panther are also all of these things and when thinking of them in all of their regal revelry, passive and docile does not describe that beauty…Venus is definitely layered there…..
